On a winters day in 2008, I went on a "hunt" for Pine Grosbeaks. Numerous in Central MA that winter, it was a rare irruption of this species from Canada. I saw many, including several adult males. What beauty. Seldom seen in Massachusetts, they were relatively easy to find that winter!
